Pilot Quest

Daily Quest

League system — Phase 2

  • Every Monday at 00:10 UTC, promotion and demotion run.
    • Top 20% of players in a league are promoted.
    • Bottom 10% are demoted.
  • When you enter a league you start with 0 XP.
  • Promotion zone and demotion zone are displayed on the league board.

New Profile page

Pilot Quest — Star-Based Progression

  • First completion: earn 5 XP per correct answer (up to 25 XP for 5/5).
  • Replaying levels: earn XP only when improving your star rating.
  • Encourages mastery, prevents infinite XP farming.

Chapter Star Tracking

  • Total Stars Counter per Flight.
  • Saved to cloud, persists across sessions.

Cumulonimbus obstacles (CB)

  • New progression gates that block your path at key points.
  • Require a minimum number of stars to pass.
  • Visual indicator shows required vs earned stars.
  • Smooth unlock animation when threshold is met.
  • Example: a CB at Section 1 might require 7 stars to unlock.

League System — Phase 1

  • Players compete weekly in one of 9 leagues (from Ground to Heavy Jet).
  • Every action grants XP that counts toward weekly ranking.
  • End of week: top 20% promoted, bottom 10% relegated.
  • Entry point: new players start in Single Piston League (tier 3/9).
  • Phase 1: only Single Piston League available, system records XP and resets weekly.

Duel

  • Duel end now rewards +2 XP per correct answer (a loss by timeout did not previously offer the chance to get an XP reward).
  • Duel ranking now visible on the Duel home page.

Settings

  • You can reset Pilot Quest progression (alpha only).

New Avatar System

  • Redesigned avatar customization.
  • Phase 1: only mouth and skin available.

General

Design Change

  • The central button in the navigation bar is now the Control Center, where you choose which Quest to display: Pilot Quest, Duel Quest, or Daily Quest.

Duels

  • Starting or playing a Duel now costs 0 Boarding Passes.
  • Improved performance during Duels.
  • Avatars display correctly when starting or joining a Duel.
  • Timer reloads correctly on each play.

New Daily Quest

  • Can be launched once per day. Monthly calendar shows your progression.
  • 3 lives to start; you can earn a 4th (extra) life from the Wheel of Chance.
  • 2 XP per correct answer.
  • 5 FM at Q10 and 10 FM at Q20 (alpha values).

Solo Quest → Pilot Quest

  • Renamed and reframed as a pedagogical / training tool.
  • Multiple Flights (e.g. Flight 1 — Learn the Basics).
  • Each Flight offers learning activities organized by sections.

New Boarding Pass system

  • Used only for the Pilot Quest now.
  • Maximum 5 Boarding Passes.
  • One regenerates every 2 hours (20 min for alpha).
  • During a Pilot Quest, a wrong answer subtracts one Boarding Pass — reaching 0 stops the activity.
  • Need at least 1 BP to start an activity.
  • Generation options: spend FM to skip wait or refill all 5; watch an ad; Premium members own a Golden Boarding Pass (unlimited).

Onboarding

  • Improved design and copy.
  • Completing the onboarding rewards 5 FoxMiles.

XP and Level System

  • Previous level system removed; new one coming in a future update.

Player Settings

  • Still under development. Currently you can access settings and change avatar design.

Bug Fixes

  • Daily Quiz recap now correctly counts all 20 questions when completing the final milestone (previously showed only 19).
V1.13 — Timed Duels, frictionless login, Daily Quest introduced

General

  • General design review.

Duels

  • Now timed: 24 hours to play when it's your turn or you lose the duel.
    • Loss by timeout: 0 duel points.
    • Win by timeout: 8 duel points + XP + FoxMiles.
  • This patch affects all started duels, including older ones.
  • Better visualization of ongoing duels.

New Login Journey

  • Fully frictionless login. Username / password no longer required.
  • Onboarding sets a unique username and country.
  • Existing accounts: try the new login by deleting and reinstalling the app — but you will lose your old account.

Daily Quest

  • New quest available, once per day. Subject chosen daily.
  • 20 questions, 3 lives. Lose a life on a wrong answer.
  • Wheel of Chance: spin if you answer correctly at Q5 and Q15.

Achievements

  • Corrected "BP used" achievement.

Ranking

  • You can now access Level Ranking even if you haven't finished a duel yet.

Bugs

  • Fixed a bug where fast-clicking a footer logo would inflate its icon.

This big update covers several new features and improvements.

Login improvement

  • Uninstall the app before updating to B24 to avoid a Sign-Up crash. Sign-Up still completes; next time you can sign in with your username/password.
  • Passwords hidden when typing.
  • Improved mobile keyboard display.
  • App now checks: network detected, current version, FlyQuest server status, and shows server messages (e.g. maintenance) if available.

Duel improvement

  • Duels limited to 10 max at a time per player.
  • Cost: 1 Boarding Pass to start; 0 to continue / finish.

Solo Quest improvement

  • QCM faster to play.
  • Player progression reset.
  • New Level Map visuals and animation.
  • FoxQuest is now one big level (infinite); 20 levels currently implemented, more added each version.
  • 3-star reward system on level completion:
    • 1 star: level completed — XP reward.
    • 2 stars: ≥75% correct — bonus reward.

New ranking system V2 (phase 1)

  • Players must finish at least one duel to unlock the ranking.
  • Simplified rules: all start at 0 pts; win = 10 pts + score diff, loss = 2 pts, draw = 5 pts.
  • Ranking and duel games reset.
  • Backend stats collection of duels played / won / lost (for future achievements).

FlyQuest Economy Phase 1

  • Boarding Passes are now an energy currency.
    • Max 5 BPs.
    • +1 BP every 2 hours (20 min for alpha).
    • Each activity costs 1 BP.
    • Leveling up grants 1 BP.
    • You can buy BPs with FoxMiles.

New Frictionless login

  • Each device has its own UID, used as primary login method.
  • Two login types:
    • Anonymous login (working but not exposed in alpha).
    • Validated account: requires a username (game name) and a password (≥8 chars, 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 special, 1 number).

New server (UGS)

  • XP / Level / Boarding Pass / ranking / streak now run on UGS.
  • Improves performance, reliability and scalability.

New ranking system / WIN-LOSS

  • All players start at 1000 points.
  • After a duel: ±20 pts + score difference. Draw = no change.
  • End-of-duel results page with rewards:
    • Points change per ranking rules.
    • Boarding Pass: win +4 / loss 0 / draw +2.
    • XP: win = 50 × player level / loss 0 / draw 0.

My Ranking page

  • Shows ±20 around your current ranking.
